Personal Rclone
VPS Backups privacy notice
This notice applies to the VPS Backups OAuth client in the Personal Rclone project. The operator uses this client for their own server backups.
Google Drive access
The client accesses Drive files created or otherwise authorized for use with the OAuth app. It can create, read, update and delete the backup files it accesses. A dedicated backup folder guides normal operations; it is not a separate OAuth access boundary.
Storage and use
Restic encrypts backup contents before upload. Google Drive stores the encrypted repository and ordinary file metadata. OAuth credentials are kept in restricted files on the operator’s server, and the operator keeps recovery keys separately.
The VPS backup workflow does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or provide it to other users. These public information pages contain no backup contents or credentials.
Retention and control
The operator controls backup retention and deletion. Access can be revoked in the Google account’s connected-app settings. Revocation stops subsequent backup access until the operator authorizes it again.
Contact
Use the operator’s support email displayed on the Google consent screen.
